SUPREME COURT WORK

HEAVY HAMILTON LIST Many Divorce Cases Hamilton, May 25. A record, number of cases is set down for hearing before Mr Justice Fair in the Hamilton Supreme Court, which opened to-day. There are eight criminal cases for trial, six of which involve accusations, of indecency. In the other two cases one man is charg. ed with burglary and the ether is to stand his trial on a charge of mischief. A prisoner is to appelir for sentence on a charge of indecency. Fifteen civil cases are included' in the list, four of which are to be dealt with by the Judge and a jury of 12, and three by '.he Judge asd a jury of four. The remaining cases will be dealt with by the Judge alone The claims involve amounts totalling £9644, while in several cases injunctions are sought. No fewer than 22 undefended, divorce eases are set down for hearing. Three appeal cases will be heard, while nine applications for discharge in bankruptcy are included in the buisness. It is expected the Court will be engaged for three weeks.
