Senor Juan March, a Spanish IDbacco magnate, and a supporter of General Franco and other aristocrats, passed through Gibraltar, en route to Italy, leading to the belief that Signor Mussolini would withdraw Italian volunteers owing to the continued representations of the combatants’ families, but later SenOr March was credited with a mission from General Franco to persuade Signor Mussolini to continue his support. It is persistently rumoured that General Franco will resign if the Italians withdraw.
