Mr Armstrong In England Press Association —Copyright. Lon (Vi- Mlay 21. bince his in England tlie New Zealand Labour Minister, I on. H. T. Armstrong, has been busy probing' industrial conditions. After several conversations a't the Ministry of Labour he spent some time in the East End of London, investigating working class living standards. On May 22, accompanied by Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, he will mset Cabinet Ministers for a talk on migration problems. Later in the day he will go to Geneva with the High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan, to attend a sitting of the League of Nations Council, after which he will attend a Labour conference. Mr Shanly, his private secretary, has been appointed the second New Zealand delegate. Mr Armstrong told the Associated Press that he hoped New Zealand’s example would be of some value to "he conference, as many reforms advocated on the order paper were already introduced in' o the Dominion. He would be able to point out how they were working in practice. From Geneva Mr Armstrong will go to England to continue his inquiries into labour conditions. He plans to tour induustrfial areas in 'the North.
