TO-MORROW’S MEETING Large Fields Of Acceptors (BY “ODDS ON.”) The Waikato Racing Club’s mee’ing will open on Saturday with the win and place system of wagering in operation. Every race being worth £2OO and upwards, tshe meeting has drawn very' large Helds of acceptors, with the winners well concealed. MELVILLE HACK AND HUNTERS’ STEEPLECHASE, of £250. Two miles and a half. Tllumimgh 10.8, Kinkle and Emancipa ion 10.7, Pango 10.6, Lucidus 19.2, Friendly Boy 9.11, Curlew 9.9, PennyPlain 9 7, Sky Pilot and feooklaw 9.3, Court Arma 9.1, La Femme Noire, Diacquedoon, Dirk Princess, Precise, Gascoyne and Bells of Bow 9.0. En Tour and liluminagh would appear most likely here, but many improvers are included in this field and Sky Pilot may perform better with the experience gained at Hawera. Curlew is much liked whilst Kinkle, Lucidus and Friendly Boy may carry fair support Pennyplain, Gascoyne, Booklaw' and Bells ot Bow are not chanceless. Tudor and Billy Boy do not appear able to give these weights to improvers like Monastic and Don Erma. Royal Limond is far too risky a conveyance lately. Valpeen it reported back to his best— which would most probably eliminate the field. Windsor Lad' also has good credentials at present’., and may be close up. Cynical Kid has promised lately that he i will run well, and 'therefore needs I consideration. Forest Glow disap. | pointed at Hawera and thereby can not be recommended as yet. Old Pahu is not to be despised and should there be many falls h e may fill a Place. Black Marlin has refused in the hurdles and: he will no doubt soon make the steeple grade. Sporting Song has .taken to the tall timber effectively and with Golden England and Free Air possess chances. Killadar must, not be ignored whilst Thurwsqd’s good third draws attention. Gay Streak and Gay Rebel are not chanceless, whilst Mai de Mer, a brother to Floodtid'e, may have benefited by his respite.
