GRANTS TO EAST COMMITTEE.

I Grants totalling £4O were made by • the Stratford County Council to-day ‘ to the East Committee of the Egmont j National Park Board. A. Hamilton in the course of an address to the National Party in Wellington yesterday. “They j had a lot of luck, for the farmer is not in any sense allied to industrial labour, as he has no affinity with the coal miners, wharf labourers, seamen, and such-like industrialists who form i the back bone of the Labour movement.”
