rheumatism or neuralgia. Lettuces and cucumbers are valuable for anyone worried' by insomnia and have a cooling effect on the blood. Onions, garlic, leeks, olives and shallots are all good for improving the circulation of the system and also increase saliva and gastric juices, which aid digestion. Spinach or silver beet are good for the kidneys and tomatoes are the finest things for dyspepsia and- indigestion. Turnips are ako very good, and carrots are good for the complexion.
Watercress is another green salad which should not be neglected, as it contains highly nutritious properties.
