Rebel aeroplanes are reported to have “blown to pieces” Scottish ambulance units on_ the Toledo front and bombed hospitals. It is not yet known whether there are any Britislh casualties. One ambulance officer returned’ to Madrid with the side of his ambulance shattered and his cap riddled with bullets.
