i N.Z. People “Comfortable, But So Dull” When, the MionHe Carlo Russian Ballet (arrived at Sydney from Wellington in the Awatea last week the manager for their tour, NJr A. J. Tail, told .the Sydney Morning Herald 'tlfdt, although th* ballet proved novel ent/er ainm nt, for New Zealanders at/ first, audiences had been amazingly enthusiastic. It was a most successful tour, and J. C. Williamsons would certainly include the t Dominion in any future lours. | Members of the company, however, j were not. so enthusiastic. Mr Roland i Guerrard said: “It was the hardest j tour I have ever made; I do not wish | tio see New Zealand again in a I hurry.” I Mr Tnomas Armour’s view was: I “It was bard work from the first [night and travelling conditions wore | difficult for the company. Helene Kir- ! sova said: “I am glad'to see Sydney 1 a,gain. New Zealand is very lovely, but the people generally are comfortable, but dull.”
