UNUSUAL CONTEST
A novel y in Taranaki is being protracted by the Waipuku Wrestling ‘ Club, which in this issue calls for ; nominations for the weight-lifting i championship of Taranaki. This unj usual contest will be held in conjunction with a wrestling tournament ! to be held 'at the Stratford Town Hall •e»arly in June. Already a number of | well-known farmers have commencied training for the event. The prize iis £lO in cash and a handsome cup I donated by Mr J. Bates. Nominations j at 2s 6d>, close with the secretary, Mr : W. Vesty, Waipuku, on Saturday, M.ay ' 29.
