i BOROUGH STREETS Adoption Of Estimates The raising of a loan of £4,000 for i new street work and the shifting of I the borough sheds was authorised at I a meeting of the Borough Council i last night. ; “The burden to.day is our wide streets, but in years to come they will be a blessing,” said the Mayor, Mr J. W. McMillan, in emphasising the need -for attention to roads in view of the considerable increase in traffic. Correspondence had appeared in the Press complaining of the I state of 'the footpaths in some parts of the borough, but it was most essential, he said, that the roads should first be attended to.
