As the result of an injury to the leg he received when he crashed through the ropes on to the stage footlights Tom Meads was in no shape to continue in the seventh round of his return wrestling,content with Lofty Blomfield tq-night. and the referee awarded: the honours to Blomfield. Up to this stage each had gained: a. fall in what was a colourful and exciting bout., Meads gained - a submission- fall with a deathlock in .the fifth round and Blomfield equalised in. .the. next, round when, Meads after his, excursion to the- footlights was twice dumped, on hie return.
