Carson’s Batting Impresses London, May 10. The Sunday papers almost unanimously praise the New Zealand cric.keters on the opening of their tour. The critics are particularly impressed with the bdWlmg of Roberts, the batting of Carson and the .fielding of Wallace., Donnelly is cartooned' as the Jast but by no means the least in the News of the World, whilst Vivian’s cover drive is pictured in a page-wide sports reel in the Dispatch. The M.C.C. team for the second game which includes seven leading amateurs and four able professionals, is as 1 fpllows: Wya't (captain), Moore, Pearce, Stephenson, Baxter, Griffiths, Human, Hendren, Edrich, Compton and Sims.
