Opium Poppies In Wheat And Maize Fields Press Association—Copyright. Received May 10, 1.5 p.m. Cairo, May 9. Carrying out the Narcotics Bureau’s latest methods of detection, Egyptian Air Force officers photographed wheat and maize fields, revealing patches of opium poppies among the tall crops, which were undisccrnible from the ground. Police rushed in lorries and seized the illicit crops.
