ZEPPELIN DISASTER
DEATH ROLL NOW 35. THEORY OF SABOTAGE No Serious Credence By Officials Press Association —CopyrightReceived May 10, 10 a.m. Lakehurst, May 9. Deaths in hospitals of Captain. Lehmann, former commander of the Zeppelin Von Hindenburg, a passenger, and the chief radio officer, Mr Speck, brought the death-roll in the Hindenburg disaster to 35. All the bodies have been recovered. The 30 survivors remain in hospitals, of whom two are likely to die and six are in a critical condition, including Captain Preuse, the commander. The United States Navy has appointed its own special board of investigation ,and public hearings will take place simultaneously with the commerce group, but the navy inquiry will confine itself to matters directly affecting the Government, leaving the inquiry into the cause of the disaster to the commerce group. Herr Von Boettiger has been appointed German observer at the latter inquiry. It is apparent that none of the officials give serious credence to the sabotage theory.
