LANDED BY PARACHUTE

During a sudden swerve in a gust of wind while making a test flight in an aeroplane at the Dornier works, a mechanic named Hipp inadvertently clutched the lever opening the emergency floor trap, through which he disappeared. Hipp landed safely by means of a parachute and trudged home on foot, with the parachute tucked under his arm.
