CENTURY SCORED
Stratford Seniors’ Points The record of 100 points scored by the Stratford Rugby Football Club’s senior team in the four snatches to date, all of which have been won, is outstanding in Rugby circles in Taranaki. Double-figure scores in each match read well, but these ran into the thirties in two cases, and emphasise the manner in which the popular Red and Blacks dealt with their opponents. Stratford scored six tries against Clifton on Saturday, yet the score only reached 22, the trygetters being R. Cuff (3), C. Sangster, P. Fastier and W. Rowlands, goals being kicked by J. Ross and R. Clarke. Points scored against Stratford to date number 31, an average of under 8, and their line was crossed only seven times. Truly a good club record.
