H. L BROOK LANDS CAPE TOWN TO ENGLAND Amy Johnson’s Time Eclipsed Press Association —Copyright. Received May 6, 10.30 a.m. London, May 5. The British airman, Mr H. L. Brooks, who flew from Cape Town to England, landed at Heston Aerodrome at 3.45 p.m. to-day. Mr Brooks’s time was four days 18 minutes, which beats Miss Amy Johnson’s time of four days six hours 20 minutes. Mr Brooks also gains the unofficial record for the fastest flight from England to the Cape and back of nine days, 91 hours.
