There | were present; Messrs A. H. Nelson ! (chair), T. Bu’man, E. H, Fazacker!ly, W. Mills, J. W. B. Jones, S. I Tubby, J. Petrie, M. Urquhart and D. Butcher. An apology was tenderbed for the absence of Mr F. Reader. . The action of the mafch committtee ; in accepting the match arranged for i them by the New Zealand Union was I confirmed. I The meeting decided to recommend for approval to the New Zealand Union the following referees for amateur and professional bouts: Messrs W. Toomey (New Plymouth), L. Fryday (Walpuku), and M. Urquhart (Toko). Mr Toomey will be the referee for I Saturday night's events, . and the iother officials will be as follow: Anjnouncer, Mr A. H. Nelson; official | seconds, Messrs Fazackerly and Readier; timekeeper, Mr Petrie; ringside I sea's, Messrs Butcher and Robson; call stewards, Messrs Mills and Urqu-. I hart; doctor’s steward, Mr Jones; | house manager, Mr Bulman. I Four amateur matches and a reserve have been arranged, Mr Mills i being in charge. | A new mat for the ring has been ;orderded. and it is hoped it will be ’available for the events. i It was decided to extend the ringiside as usual in order to make a (larger number of ringside seats availjable. Bookings have been fairly free, .and patron s are advised to make I their reserves early in order to make j sure of a seat, as experience at all i last year s matches has shown that | these seats are always at a premium , on the night of the bout and many I could have been sold had they been ' available. -
