Money To Provide Instruction Press Association —Copyright. Wellington, May 1. Cabinet has approved of a levy of two-pence a pig on all pigs slaughtered in order to provide instructional and advisory service for the pig industry. The Minister of Agriculture, Hon. W. Lee Martin, said that the industry had developed so rapidly in the last few years that it was rapidly creating problems of national policy. On that score alone it demanded the attention of the Government. The levy was expected to yield £B,OOO a year.
