ART GALLERY OPENED
Ceremony At Napier Press Association —Copyright. Napier, April 29. The second portion of the Hawke’s Bay Art Society’s new art gallery and museum, which is being erected in hr?e sections, was officially opened by Dr. Oliver, Director of the Dominion Museum, to-night. The society previously raised £2600 required for the first sec‘ion, and £2OOO for the •atcst par'ion was furnished by the Carnegie Corporal ion. Ar.hough the building was only commenced in 1935, it already coilla ns many valuable exhibits, including collections donated by Lady McLean and the late Mr. Greactn Black, of Gisborne.
