ELIMINATION OF PROFITS Notice Of Motions Lodged By The Mayor Following the meeting of ratenpgers on Monday night, when an almost unanimous vote was recoi ded againsta motion by the Mayor, Mr J. W. Met. Millan, to confirm the council’s policy □f utilising electricity profits in reducing rates, Mi- McMillan gave notice to the Town Clerk, Mr G. C. Grace, yesterday’afternoon, that at the next ordinary Borough Council meeting, to be held on May 17, he would move the following motions: — (1) That all previous resolutions of the council in respect to electric light current charges be rescinded and that a new scale of charges be adopted as near as possible to cost price. (2) That the policy of transferring the profits of the electric light department to the general fund be discontinued.
