Official German circles hold that Mr. George Lansbury read overmuch positive optimism into Herr Hitler’s statement that he 'Was willing to participation in a conference of economic co-operation and mutual understanding.

President Roosevelt disclaimed any present. Intention of calling a world trade and disarmamt'nt conference states a Washington cable. It is understood the Japanese Government is twilling to participate in a world economic conference, stages a cable from Tokio.
