SOLE BROS.’ CIRCUS.
Visit Stratford Next Week. A circus still lias the power to produce excitement. There is always the possibility that the timing ot the trapeze artists as they swing and tumble overhead may one day be a fraction imperfect. Then there is the
possible spice of danger in the snarling lions as they jump through burning hoops or glare menacingly upon their keepers. Solo Bros.' circus and zoo. which is arriving in Stratford on Wednesday, April 28. for one night only, comes with an international reputation. The circus comprises a company of 30 artists in their own particular line, headed by Captain Andrew with his lions, lionesses and tigers, performing together in a huge steel arena. Other stars are La Belie Marie, on the swinging and balancing trapeze; Story and Lindsay, hand-to-hand and head-to-head balancers and upside-down equilibrists; the Lenton Sisters, flying trapeze artists; the Nine Deleos, tumbling maniacs; the Bozelle troupe of girl acrobats; the Ridgway family, whirlwind tumblers; Ciro and Giro, comedy artists on rickety ladders; and the famous Ashton, one of the greatest whip-crackers. The show also includes perrforming elephants, horses, ponies, high and long jump greyhounds, and monkey jockeys.
