Pay Increase Or No Work. Press Association—Copyright. Dunedin, April 18. Charwomen may bo in demand here next week. After learning that others receive more pay at the new Post Office, 23 hospital charwomen have written to the board demanding increases* in pay, two Peeks’ holiday on full pay and time and analf for public holidays and Sunday work. It is stated that if the demands are not complied with the charwomen will stage a walk-out strike on Monday. This, however, is not mentioned in the letter of demand, and the board’s secretary stated that a reply could not be given until tha board meets on Friday.
