PUBLIC DEBATE.
Many economists believe that Capitalism, the system of private enterprise and private profit upon which the modern social structure is erected, must inevitably decay and perish. Critics of Capitalism urge that human happiness and welfare must be the only criterion of any system that is to offer permanent security to ail, and they suggest that Socialism will offer this security. The local branch of the Stratford Labour Party is hold- ; ing a. public debate on the proposition j “That the Introduction of Socialism iis Inevitable.” Th© debate will be I held in St. Andrew’s Hall next WedI nesday at 8 p.m. The public are in--1 vited.
