VISITOR’S COMPLIMENT
New Zealand Press Praised. Press Association —Copyright Wellington, April 14. A compliment to the Press of Neu’ Zealand was paid by the Miniater of Labour in the Victorian Government, Hon. E. J. Mackrell, at a dinner given in his honour by the acting-Prime Minister, Hon. P. Prater, at Parliament House to-day. “I have found the Press of New Zealand tolerant in its views, temperate in its s atemen.t and very well printed,” Mr. Mackrell taid. Some murmuring came from Cabinet Ministers round the table, which caused the visitor to add: “Of course, * I have not seen them in an election year.”
