TASMAN AIR SERVICE

CO-OPERATION EFFORTS NO DEADLOCK IN NEGOTIATIONS. Hon. W. Nash’s Denial In London. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 11.5 a.m.) London, April 13. Hon. W. Nash, New Zealand Minister of Finance, on behalf of Mr P. Fraser, Acting prime Minister of New Zealand, to.day issued ia statement denying that a deadlock had occurred in the trans-Tasman air service negotiations. On the contrary, it is pointed out, the conference of the Australian, New Zealand and British authorities in September agreed to thg. proposals subject to the Government}’ ratification. Australia hitherto had not approved of the entire proposals. Britiaip. had never intimated that failing an agreement, she would authorise Imperial Airways* to operate the service, nor had she claimed the right to determine on what terms the organisation should operate. Mr Nash added that the whole iubject would be discussed at the Im. perial Conference.
