FISH LIBERATION
Ponds To Be Cleared By End Of Month. i The Stratford Acclimatisation Society met last night. There were present: Messrs E. G. Jones (chairmian), E. H. Eason, W. J. Walsh, A. E. Hunter, N. O. Ebbe It, J. P. Caskey. J. Petrie and G. A. Carter (secretary). Apologies were received from Messrs E. Worthington and Geo. Richardson. The visiting committee reported I hat the fish at the Durham Road hatchery were in good order. It was mentioned that the Taranaki Society required the ponds cleared by the end of the mon h, and a sub-committee I comprising Messrs Jones, Hunter and I Caskey, was appointed to make ar- | rangements for liberation of the fish. llt was decided that the sub commitI tee discuss with the Curator of the hatchery the quantity of fish to be reared next year. A special meeting of members wae arranged for April 22 to finalise the proposed federation of North Island West Coast Acclimatisation Societies. A statement of accounts for pre. sentation to the annual meeting next month was approved.
