FIRE-WALKING TESTS

Press Association —Copyright. London, April 9. The ancient “mystery” of firewalkIng was “blown out" in tests at Surrey, supervised by the London University Council of Psychical Investigation. Achmed Hussain, an Indian firewalker, after intoning a long prayer walked barefoot along a trench filled with glowing wood charcoal heated to 750 degrees centigrade. Hussain’s feet were mildly blistered. Three young London men followed; they were burned slightly more severely. Mr Hurry Price, secretary of the council mhade a statement to the effect that the only secret of firewalking was technique.
