FRESH HASTINGS CASE.

First Since Good Friday. Press Association—Copyright. Napier, April 9. The first case of infantile paralysis, either suspected or positive, to be reported in Hastings since Gpod Friday, was admitted to Napier Hospital on Wednesday. The sufferer is a twelVe-year-old boy, a pupil of Hasting West School, and,, although it was stated by the medical superintendant, Mr J. J. Foley that the boy was suffering from actual muscular paralysis, tests of the spinal fluid proved the case to be positive. An announcement is expected as to whether the case will have any effect upon the reopening of schools in the district.
