Believed to hi ihe vici’hn of a. ‘’hit and run” motonst, the body of a midjleaged man was found beside the road, at Paki Paki, near Hastings, ; early this morning by workmen on i the way to work at the freezing works.. The body is believed to be that of Frank Wilde, aged about 40, an unemployed shepherd. The body did' not bear ihe appearance of severe external injuries, although the man had suffered injuries to his head. A boot had beefi tern from on a foot' an-di was *ater found lying nearby on the railway line.
