AMERICAN STRIKES.
Detroit, April 7. The Governor of Michigan, Mr F. Murphy, announced a settlement of the Chrysler strike today. The Automobile Wokert’ Union 'Will be a bargaining agency for members only, and the union guarantees to prevent unauthorised sit-down strikes. Bargaining conferences will commence to-morrow, and. 65,000 employees will relurd to work as soon as possible. New sit down strikes closed two Ge no ml, .Motors Corporation iplf.ntfci at Lansing and -me at Saginaw today. The union in attempting to persuade the men tc resume work.
