CEMETERY STRIKE

New York, April 7. A message from North Arlington, New Jersey, etales that 54 gravediggers' labourers commenced a sit-down strike in a Catholic cemetery. They played cards and quoits, ignoring four funeral processions. The coffins were placed in a vault to await the graves. The diggers aro satisfied; with their wages, but demand a minimum of five dollars a day for their helpers and a five-day -week. The vault capacity is 21 coffins.
