SEQUEL TO COLLISION

Painages of £6634 Awarded. Wellington, April 7. Damages amounting to £6634/12/were awarded by Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court at Wellington yesterday to Sarah Ann Petherick and her husband, Frederick William Petherick, who had claimed £15,150 from William Alexander Waters, engineer, of Palmerston North, and the N.I.M.U. Insurance Company. The suits arose from a collision near Waikanae between the Pethertcks’ car and another driven by Waters. The insurance company as statutory indemnifier was joined as second defendant. Negligence was admitted and the only question in dispute therefore was as to the quantum of damages.
