Senior Competition in Two Divisions. j The Taranaki Hockey Association management committee decided last i night that the senior competition be j played in two divisions, which, it was | considered, would give a longer play;ing season. i On the motion of Mr. N. O. Ebbett, 1 it was decided that a challenge for i the Nordon Cup be issued this year. ! It was resolved to instruct the ' Taranaki selectors to make a seleci ti-on of players for nomination in the ‘ tour of Australia in July. i The committee was instructed to 1 notify clubs that the levy of 1/- for • each player 18 years of age or over to i be made annually for the purpose of creating a fund for the expenses of ' the New Zealand hockey teams traveliing to future Olympic Games, must ■ be paid with the usual affiliation fee. ! It was recommended that the Ha- ! wera tournament committee make ap- ! plication to hold the annual tournai ment on Coronation Day, May 12. j The competitions will open on Sat- • urday, May 1.
