A Singles Won by Mrs Burgess The Stratford Croquet Club’s annual tournament was continued yesterday. Mrs. Burgess (Stratford) won the A singles by beating Mrs. Lampshire 26—9. The A doubles were won by Mesdames Butchart and Harkness (Stratford), who beat Mesdames Al?er and Dickinson (Stratford) 26—13. In the intermediate championship singles Mrs. Evans beat Mrs. Bates 26—6. Other results yesterday were: A Doubles. Second round: Mesdames Butchart and Harkness beat Mesdames Gatton and Knight 26—23. B Singles. Second round, first life: Mrs. Bowie beat Mrs. Mcßae 26—22. C Singles. Semi-finals: Mrs. Hughes beat Mrs. Clare 26—23. A Doubles. Second round: Mesdames Butchart and Harkness beat Mesdames Gatton and Knight 26 —23.
