HEAD AND FACE INJURIES Boy in Nelson Hospital. Press Association—Copyright. Nelson, April 6. Kelvin Trewavas, aged 11, of Umukuri, suffiered injuries to a hand and face when a detonator with which he was playing exploded. The tips of three fingers, and the thumb of the right hand were blown off, and the right eye seriously injured. The boy was pricking the detonator with a needle, when it exploded. His parents, Mr and Mrs Harold Trewavas, do not know where the boy obtained the detonator. The lad is in the Nelson Hospital.
