TROUBLE IN BELGRADE?

CZECHO-SLOVAKIAN PRESIDENT. “Down with Fascist Italy!” Press Association —Copyright. Received 2.5 p.m. Belgrade, April 5. Six hundred students made a hostile demonstration on the occasion of the visit of Dr. Benes. They carried banners inscribed: “Long live the union of democratic countries!,” and shouted: “Down with Fascist Italy!,” as the Czecho-Slovak President drove through the streets. The police forced 1000 people into a yard, from which hundreds later were taken to prison. The authorities previously had closed all roads leading to Belgrade, fearing a demonstration against the policy of the Premier, M. StoyadinoVttch, which is one of friendship towards Italy.
