KEEN DISAPPOINTMENT
Cancellation of Wellington Flight. Press Association —Copyright. Auckland, April 2. There was keen disappointment among the civilian passengers and members of the erew at the cancellation of the flight to New Plymouth and Wellington owing to stormy conditions on Wellington harbour. Mr. Gatty motored to the city and dispatched telegrams t» Wellington and also instructions to a member of the erew, Mr. J. Holsenbeck, who was making mooring preparations at Wellington, to return to Auckland by car in time for the departure of the clipper for Pago Pago. “Too bad,” said. Captain Musick. “We ourselves are disappointed because we wanted to see Wellington and the rest of the North Island, but it would be no pleasure to the passengers to land down there in rain squalls and wind. If it had been a permanent base we could have undertaken the flight, but temporary moorings are too risky. It was no good going to Nev*' Plymouth, because visibility was bad and the passengers would be bounced about.”
