BAND CONTEST.

WAITARA FIXTURE Mr. T. Goodall Appointed As Adjudicator. Advice was received to-day by Mr. A. E. Sayers, secretary of the Taranaki Brass and Pipe Bands' Union, that Mr. T. Goodall, deputy conductor of the Port Nicholson Silver Band, has agreed to act as adjudicator at the Taranaki contest to be held at Waitara next week. He will take the place of Mr R. J. Estall, conductor ot the Woolston band, who was.- unable to fulfill his appointment owing to an accident. Mr. Goodall was formerly with the Wellington Tramways and other successful bands, and at the recent Dominion contest at Nelson he wat assistant adjudicator. For many years he has been prominent in band affairs, and as a soloist and a bandtman his capabilities are well kown.
