AIR HEADQUARTERS.

APPOINTMENTS MADE. Reorganisation Plan. Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, March 31. Under the Government's plan for reorganisation and development of military and civil aviation, including the establishment of an Air Board, for which the necessary legislation will be brought down next session of Parliament, the New Zealand Air Force has been separated from the Defence Department. An air headquarters staff has been set up with offices at Wellington. The Minister of Defence, Hon. F. Jones, who is also in charge of aviation, announced to-day that the Gover-nor-General had- approved the followng appointments to take effect from April 1: Chief of the air staff: Wing-Com-mander the Hon. R. A. Cochrane, A.F.C., Royal Air Force. Chief staff-oificer of equipment: Wing-Commander T. M. Wilkes, M.C., R.N.Z.A.F. Chief staff officer of personnel: Squadron-Leader L. M. Isitt, R.N.Z.A.F. Air staff and intelligence officer: Flight-Lieutenant A. de Terrotte Nevill, R.N.Z.A.F. Staff officer of equipment: FlightLieutenant T. J. Denton, R.N.Z.A.F. Staff officer of personnel: FlightLieutenant W. Man. R.N.Z..A.F. Controller of civil aviation: WingCommander T. 'M. Wilkes. Chief assistant to controller: FlyingOfficer J. M. Buckeridge. Chief inspector of aircraft: Mr. R. C. Kean. Air secretary: Mr. T. A. Marrow. The Minister explained that temporary accommodation for the new headquarters staff of the Royal New Zealand Air Force had been secured in one of the Railways Department's buildings near the junction of Bunny and Featherston Streets, Wellington.
