Never touch electrical fittings when you are in a bath. Even 22 volts may be harmful to a person when in a bath. Nothing of an electrical nature should be within reach of a person in a bath. * * * If rusty curtain rings are soaked in hot vinegar for 21 hours, when dry they will look like new. * * * If new tinware is rubbed with fresh lard and heated in the oven before it is uied it will never rust afterwards. Macintoshes and waterproofs need not be discarded if they are old. Cut' them up into washingday aprons. * * * Slip the finger of a glove over the neck of bottles to keep in the cork when travelling.
