COMPETITIONS FESTIVALS

Placings of Entrants from Stratford. Singing ”O Lovely Night,” Mrs. E. Mcßeth (Stratford) and Miss F. Bamforth (New Plymouth) were placed first in the vocal duet at the competitions festival at New Plymouth yesterday. In the English folk-song (open), Mrs. Mcßeth was second, and in the National song she was third. - Mr. Robert Anderson was second in the vocal solo, men, selection from light opera or musical comedy, and was third in the English folk-song and the bass solo test.
