MARCH RAINFALL.
I Total Recordings Not Unduly High. •Although March was generally regarded as a very w r et month, recordings taken by Mr A. W. Burrell, local observer, show that the rainfall was not unduly high, and was practically the same as for March, 1936. Last month 4.54in5. were recorded, the heaviest fall, 2.27in5., being experienced for the 24-hour period up to 9 a.m. on Sunday last. The rainfall for March, 1936, was 4.sBins. For the past three months the total fall was 20.51in5.
