YARRA MYSTERY
Gruesome Find in Melbourne. Press Association —Copyright. Melbourne, March 29. A sugar bag containing the severed arms and legs' of a woman was found io the River Yarna., near the citiy, today by two boys pliaying on the bank. The boys called a constable to t'he scene and investigations are now being made- by detectives. Officers who examined the gruesome discovery formed the opinion that th© limbs were severed from the body two or three Weeks ago. It had evidently been skilfully done with a sharp instrument. No other part of the body was found, and the remains have not been identified.
Th© case .bears a strong resemblance to the “shark arm” mystery at Sydney in 1935. The woman is believed to nave been aged between 20 and 40.
