WIRE FENCE CUT.
Pedigree Bulls Let Loose On Roads. A well-known Stratford breeder of pedigree Jersey cattle has a grievance against someone as the result of hie l vire fence having been cut twice last week, enabling three bulls to wander. On the first occasion the damiage to the fence was quickly repaired. However, it came as a shock to the farmer to find that the miscreant had returned and repeated his action, while the animals had striayed and could not be found, although the search was continued for two days. Fortunately, the bulls wiere “homers,” that is to say, beyond looking over the neighbours’ fences they did not stray far away, and were discovered in a clump of shelter trees close at hiand. As may be imagined, the owner’s feelings were greatly relieved, because [ the trouble that these cattle can make while on the loose for only a few hours is often very far-reaching and costly.
