Railway Services.
In an address at a railway employees’ function, at Otahuhu ou Saturday night, the Minister of ReilHon. D. G. Sullivan, stated that the Department had enjoyed, a good year and despite the fact that wages had been raised and a 40-hour week the department had been able not only to provide an improved service but also to make a reasonable ( profit. Since the . present Government had. come into office, said the Minister, 2091. more men had been employed on the railways.
