Japanese Exploitation. Melbourne, March 27. Full information about the iron ore deposits ot Yampi Sound has been sought by the Commonwealth Government from the Mines Department ot Western Australia as a preliminary to a review by Cabinet of Australia’s resources.

Cabinet discussed the position In view of the world shortage ot iron ore and suggestions that the exploitation ot Yampi Sound deposits by Japanese interests should be curtailed.

It is believed that there are ample deposits of ore available for Australia's needs. Therefore, no action to prohibit the export ot'dre to Japan will be taken.
