New Zealand Successes with Clydesdales. Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, March 23. Horsee were judged at the Royal show to-day, the entries numbering 3000, or 700 more than last year’s but there were only three entrants In the stallion thoroughbred section, the winner of which was the former New Zealander Deputy Ruler. The others were the mnor racing performer Dignus, which was second, and th* veteran Valamita, which received third aw’ard. Competition in the.. Clydesdale classes was keenest, New Zealand-brid horses predominating, as in previous years'. The award for a stallion, three years or over, went to Mr T. Robson’s Superb, imported from New Zealand, which was successful in other sections.
The cattle sales at the show opened auspiciously, and bidding was spirited. The highest price for Shorthorns was 305 guineas.
