SCHEME OF PLAY.
A and B Rugby Grades Not Favoured. A remit from the Okato Club: “That the Senior Competition be divided into two grades, Senior 'A’ and Senior ‘B,’ and that Okato be allowed to enter a team in the Senior ‘B’ Competition,” did not meet with the support of delegates present at the annual frieeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union at Stratford last night. The mover, Mr. J. Garcia, said that for many years there had been a cry in Taranaki that there were too many senior teams. It was not proposed to reduce them, but to group them into A and B grades. It may be said that the public would not attend B matches but he was confident that th® public would go to see two evenly matched teams. He hoped that the matter -would be discussed from the broad viewpoint of the improvement cf Rugby in the province.
“Our candid opinion is that at the moment Okato cannot bring in a senior team that would be a credit bo the club,” sajd Hon. J. McLeod.
